Graduation Cupcakes!

Whether you are graduating Cum Laude, or were crossing your fingers on that last big final, every graduate deserves cupcakes! The top Owl cupcakes were for some sorority sisters and the bottom, some ASU grads! Cupcakes can be personalized to personality, area of study, or whatever you dream up! Check out one of my graduation cakes in a previous post for a future astronaut!

Cinco de Mayo Flavor!

A sombrero, some limes, lots of colorful flowers and bright hues mean Cinco de Mayo is here! This particular cake was for a little boy's first birthday and 50 friends and family! They had a fun poolside party and little Tristan got to blow out the candles! This cake is available in all flavors but I recommend margarita!

Angry Birds Cake!

Before I made this cake I knew nothing about angry birds, but thankfully I had plenty of friends at my disposal who were able to act on a consulting basis. And the concept was not that difficult =) I love how playful the concept was and it made for a fun cake! Happy birthday Jovani!

Astronaut Graduation Cake- From ASU to Beyond!

This cake was made for a friend of mine who graduated from the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University! I haven't brushed up on my planets in awhile- what they look like and what order they are in, so this really gave me a chance to do so! I placed the astronaut on the moon with the other planets, including earth, in the background and am confident he will end up there someday! Jim, congrats on your Bachelor's and I can't wait to see what's in store for you next!

Molly and Ryan's Wedding Cupcake Tower

Molly and Ryan's Cupcake Tower
A close-up or their sweetheart cake and cupcakes!
Molly and Ryan were so great to work with! When we met for their tasting, I brought them a few samples of flavors, based on what they were interested in and they liked all of them =) So, they decided to go with all three- red velvet, chocolate and vanilla with raspberry frosting. The great thing about cupcakes is it allows for so much variety in flavor combos! Although they knew they wanted cupcakes, they still wanted to "cut the cake" with an individual, top tier sized cake just for them to cut and take the rest home to save for their first anniversary. This is what we did, with the same color combo, but reversed, with purple as the main color and white and black as accents. I loved the way it popped and looked great with the cupcakes! Their wedding was at Inside the Bungalow, in Mesa, an adorable venue with great outdoor space and a great cafe inside by day! Congrats Molly and Ryan!

Holland Bike Tour and some Cupcakes to Celebrate!

A few weeks ago, I got a unique call from a client, who wanted to celebrate a kick off for a bike tour she is going on with some friends in Holland! She wanted some cupcakes with some signature elements of Holland incorporated, and of coarse, bikes! When I googled Holland, I kept noticing the fields of tulips, and windmills, so vuola! Here we have the result, cupcakes featuring Holland's famous windmills and tulips! To add a little Cinco de Mayo flavor, since the holiday was approaching, half of the cupcakes were margarita flavored! The other half were a gluten free chocolate, which ended up being super yummy!

Wedding Dessert Table Goodies!

For the love of desserts: this bride wanted a table covered in assorted goodies for her wedding guests. She loves the basics, but wanted them to look super fancy for her big day- we came up with some ways to turn the classics into a display with variety and elegance. From top left to clockwise- mini rose cupcakes, two-tier wedding cake brownie bites, monogram lemon bars, and dark and white chocolate covered tuxedo strawberries.

Kentucky Derby Hat Cake!

This cake was ordered by a daughter, who for her mother's birthday wanted to surprise her with a Kentucky Derby hat cake. Her mom started making these as a hobby and has been on quite a roll creating these cute and functional masterpieces! She sent me a picture that I was able to duplicate in the form of a cake. Next in order, I may need to order a hat from her!
